Last night Zach and I had the opportunity to take in the Lunkers home baseball opener. I am not a baseball fan but I knew Zach would enjoy it so we went. It was actually kind of fun. Tony Oliva, former Minnesota Twin, Rookie of the Year and All Star was there signing autographs. The movie clips, sound bites and songs played during batters were hysterical. Like when they struck out a batter from the opposing team they played N’Syncs “Bye, Bye, Bye” and when a person was trying to steal a base and he got out the played “I always feel like somebody’s watching me…”
Just for reserving tickets in advance we received a free hotdog and 20 oz. bottle of pop. Our ticket had a coupon for free Crazy Bread at Little Caesars, and just because the right player was struck out during the right inning we received a coupon for another free pop. There were goofy games they pulled audience members for during innings and they capped off the night with fireworks. At $10.. a ticket it was pretty cheap entertainment!
